[3 March 2020] (TORONTO, ON)—The United Nations Association in Canada Toronto Region Branch (UNACTO) will be postponing in-person events for the month of March, due to the recent developments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, in an effort to maintain the well-being of our guests and presenters. This includes our Equality, Skills and Entrepreneurship: The Future of Women in Leadership event that was scheduled for 11–12 March.
UNACTO is taking these steps as a precaution—following advice to UN agencies to reconfigure events so that public health and safety is ensured—and assisting our community in mitigating the potential spread of the virus. We are actively monitoring the situation while we work on rescheduling the aforementioned event for the spring.
