On 9 December 2018, UNACTO commemorated Human Rights Day—officially marked on 10 December—at Mississauga City Hall.
UNACTO President Jasmine Jackman spoke at the event about the significance of this year, which marks 70 years since the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Mississauga Mayor, Bonnie Crombie, and Mississauga-Lakeshore MP, Sven Spengemann, were also in attendance.
